Japanese loaf
Simple Japanese bread baked in a Dutch oven.
I came across a video on YouTube from Yoshi's Kitchen with an interesting take on a Japanese loaf.
I tried it out this morning and I was pleased with the result. It had a golden, crispy shell and wonderfully soft interior. I've been trying to rekindle my sourdough with no results, s0 this bread made me happy that I hadn't lost it!
Unlike the well known milk bread recipe, this loaf was water based with a drop of sesame oil. It's a small dough and I'm wondering about making it in the bread machine and baking in a Dutch oven.
Ingredients
300g Strong flour
225ml Water
20g Sesame oil
2g Dry yeast
1tsp Salt
